Tuscola Garden Club Meets With Mrs. Roy Floyd The regular meeting of the Tus cola Garden Club was held Wed nesday at the home of Mrs. Roy Floyd at Lake Junaluska with Mrs. Walter Camlln as ro-hostesa. The dhnual election of officers was held at the luncheon meeting with the following officers chosen to serve: Mrs. Paul McElroy, Sr., presi dent; Mrs. Hugh Leach, recording secretary: Mrs. Walter Camylin. corresponding secretary, and Mrs. Wallace Ward was elected to All the unexpired term of Mrs. Emery Slack, who had resigned as treas urer. The program was presented by Mrs. A. L. Phillips, chairman of Civic Beatitlflcatlon. During the -program she discussed two pro jects now being worked on by the club?the beautiflcatlon of Lake Junaluska School grounds with a plan to add hydrangea to the 1 shrubs already planted and the beautiflcatlon of the approach to the west gate of Lake Junaluska ! by the addition of shrubs and flower beds and flower boxes at the ticket office. Other projects were discussed , during the session for future con- i slderstion. and also Mrs. Hugh f Leach was asked to submit a pic ture to Mias Louise Ballard for the Garden Club calendar. Mrs Dewey Hyatt and Mrs. Elmer T. Clark were guests at the meeting. * * ? Mies Marguerite Russ, a student at the University of North Caro lin. April 6, at 7:80 p.m. at Parkway Motors. The proceeds from the card party will go into a fund to be used for the different projects of the sofrorlty. Mrs. Richard Roberts, chairman of Heart Fund committee, reported that a total of $559.33 had been contributed to the Heart Fund. Project reports were heard on foodf preservation by Mrs. L. J.
