PS 4-Tii Perquimani Weekly, Hertford, N.C., Thursday, August 28, 1975 ' r Obituaries (Continued from Page 3) 1 Chesapeake,, Vs., died Friday night at 6:30 at his summer home at Snug Harbor. A native of West Virginia, he was retired from General Railway Signal Co, in Rochester, N.Y. He was a Baptist, a member of Hope Masonic Lodge in Gardner, Mass. and was an Army Sergeant during World War I. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Huffman Buckhannon; a daughter, Mrs. Donald Pollard of Chesapeake , S grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The body was sent from Swindell Funeral Home in Hertford to Holloman Brown Indian River Road Chapel in Chespaeake for a funeral service and burial. i x I v. A reception was held followed by the wedding. This activity was sponsored by Hertford 4-H Leaders. - First Baptist Church 'Sunday Schools meets at 9:45 a.m. under the direction of Mrs. R.B. Gibbs, Superintendent. The morning worship service will follow at 11 a.m. The missionary of the church will have as the speaker, Rev. The men of the First Baptist Church, Hertford will be selling tickets for a chicken and fish dinner on Sat., Aug; 30 from 11 a.m. until late afternoon. Plates are priced at $1.75. The Board of Directors of Peoples Bank and Trust Company has declared a dividend of 24 cents per share on the bank's common stock for the third quarter. Peoples Bank Chairman, William H. Stanley, made the announcement following the regular meeting of the Board. V -The 24 cent quarterly dividend will be payable , September; 30, 1975 to I shareholders of record on f September 15, 1975.
