Keeter attended a meeting of the Rosa Alba Garden Club In Now York Monday afternoon. i - "O?""* Mr. and Mrs. George Lattlmore are spending several days with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Lattlmore. Mrs. Gene Timms and daugh ter, Debby are spending several weeks with her grandmother in Henderson, N. C. Andrew Jenkins who suffered a heart attack several weeks ago was moved to his home Friday. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Miller spent the weekend In Gaffney with Mrs. Miller's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bailey. Mrs. F. A. McDanlel returned Saturday from the hospital in Chapel Hill and is recuperating at her hpme on West Mountain Street. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Crawford and children of Charlotte were I Tuesday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Crawford. Mrs. O. W. Myers left Wednes day for a visit of several days with her daughter, Mrs. Robert Rhyne. Mrs. Rhyne and small , daughter will leave the Duke | Hospital Thursday and return to their home in Chapel Hill. Hunter Warllck, USN, is spend ing a 30 day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. War lick. . Miss Gertrude Farris of Shelby spent the weekend with her pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Farris. Mrs. A. H. Patterson Fetes Methodist Circle Mrs. A. H. Patterson entertain ed members of Circle No. 4 at her home Monday night. Prior to the program a social period was en joyed. The hostess served a chic ken salad course with coffee. Mrs. Delbert Dixon presided du ring the business. Several matters of importance were discussed and plans were made for the mem bers to correspond with mission naries. Mrs. Mary Alexander conducted the devotional and Miss Alice A veritt gave an interesting talk on "Evangelism". Miss Margaret Maney was wel comed as a new member at th.s meeting and it was announced that the December meeting will be held In the home of Miss Mar garet Harmon.
