Lib Stewart ACHIEVEMENT NIGHT SET Dixon Community 4- H’ers have slated the annual 4-H Achievement Night Banquet for Sat., December 4, at 6 p. m. at Dixon Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. Parents and friends of 4- H'ers are Invited to attend. Leaders will present achievement awards to outstanding 4-H’ers and program will be given by Jackie (Mrs. Olenn) Roun tree of Orover. According to Verlee, the party will be the biggest ever held for area foster children and sponsored by the dxmty Foster Parents Association. Santa daus will distri bute presents to all and the Senior dtlzens dub will entertain after a banquet of good food and fellow ship. Verlee says diat cltlsens who wish to contribute gifts for the children or donations to help provide the food and toys to contact her at the Community Center. COMINOS AND GOINGS Lois and Howard Blan ton and their two children, Lori and Tim, of Durham, spent the Thanksgiving holiday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Blan- Miss Hord Honored At Friday Luncheon Miss Denise Hord, whose wedding to Kenneth Falls took place Sunday after noon at 3 p. m. In Oak View Baptist .Church, was honored Friday at noon at a bridesmaids luncheon hosted by Mrs. Ruth Lynn and Mrs. Dorothy Sutton at the former’s home on Grover Rd. Luncheon was served buffet style. The 10 guests found their places at the long dining room table which was overlaid with white outwork and deco rated In the gold and white theme of the wedding. A bride doll and an arrange ment of gold and white mums was central decoration. Miss Hord, who wore a beige and brown party dress, was given a shoulder bouquet of white daisies from the hostesses and a wedding gift. The bride-to-be took the occasion to present gifts to members of her bridal party. Guests, other than the honoree and hostesses, were the bride-to-be’s mother, Mrs. Paul Hord, Jr.; her future mother-in- law, Mrs. Ohs Falls, Jr.; Mrs. Gerald Valentine, Miss Anne Rowell, Miss Kim Hord, Miss Elisabeth Eaker, Mrs. Judy Belt and Miss Derice Stroupe. ton and Mrs. Ruth Gamble.
