The winners of the golf tour- nament were as follows: «In the Under 5 years old divi- sion, 1st place - Katherine Robinson and John McGinnis (shot 30); 2nd place - Will Spicer and Eric Spicer (33); other par- ticipants were Clinton Turner and Jeff Turner (39). In the Ages 5-6 category, Mary Ashley Robinson and Dave Robinson (shot 26); DJ Bagwell and Shannon Bagwell (38). In the Ages 7-8 division, Pierce Robinson and Ashley Robinson won 1st (23); John .Harris and Johnny Harris won 2nd (27). Other participants were Daniel Bagwell and Brent Bagwell (29), Sarah Brennan and Randy Brennan (28), and McRae Moore and Rick Moore ©1). In the Ages 9 and up category, 1st place - Will Sellers and Stoney Jackson (34); 2nd - Devon Heath and Josh Etters (37); other participants - Jamie Bagwell and Kale Bagwell (51), Kyndall Wells and Toney Wells (45), Karsen Wells and Bryant Wells (46). Swimming Events In the Ages 3 and under divi- sion: 1st - Will Spicer, 2nd - Jesse Ozmore, other participants - Paige Bagwell and Marina Thomas. In Ages 4-5: 1st - Clinton Turner, 2nd - Katherine Robinson. Support group for care- givers set for Tuesday at LEC : A support group meeting for caregivers of people diagnosed with dementia will be held from 5:30-7 pm. Tuesday, July 15, at the Life Enrichment Center Adult Day Care at 103 T. R. Harris Drive, Shelby. The group will discuss “Tips from the Experts: Families share experiences dealing with . dementia.” A free sitter service will be avail- able for persons with dementia. Beat summer heat with ‘Operation Cool-Off’ at Senior Center The Patrick Senior Center is offer- ing “Operation Cool-Off,” a pro- that allows any senior adult age 60 or older, who is a Cleveland County resident, the chance to geta free fan. The Center currently has 34 fans available for distribution, which will be doled out on a first come, first serve basis. Seniors must meet qualifications to ben- efit from “Operation Cool-Off.” Maintenance Technician The Reliance Electric Plant of Baldor Electric Company, Kings Mountain Now Hiring Maintenance Technicians for our 2nd Shift During the 2008 Spring Baseball season at the Kings Mountain YMCA, in the 7 and 8 year old Machine Pitch division, The Braves were undefeated. This record included winning the championship in the pre-season tournament, the regular season and wrapping up the post-season tournament without a single loss.
