Mr, Newton gave the names of this year*s teachers, adding that there is one opening in high school and one in the elementary school at the present time that needs to be filled. High school teachers are Mr, W, C, Newton, Mr, R, B, DuPree, Mrs. R, B, DuPree, and Mrs, Victoria Bailey, Primary- Elementary teachers are Mr, Jack Cabe, Mr. Corbett Holland, Miss Ethel Galloway, Miss Virginia Edwards, Mrs, Irene James, Mrs, Ruth Brown, Mrs. Edith Henson, and Mrs. Ira R, Cloer, Teachers will report to work on Sep* tember 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and school will begin for the students on Tuesday, Septem ber 7th. PERSONALS Mr. Russel F. (Nick) Wiggins, who for the past three years has been stationed (-/ith the U. S. Navy in Hawaii^ Japan, the Phillippines and Viet Nam, vdll spend the month of August here visiting his mother, ^■Irs. Mary K. Wiggins. Nick serves with Che patrol sqiiadron and as an electronic technician in the flight arm of the Navy, and will leave September first for Wash ington, D. C., where he will be with the Air Facility. Mr. Clifton Livingston, of Yazoo City, i^Iiss., died Monday afternoon at the C. J. Harris Community Hospital in Sylva follow ing an illness of several weeks. Mr. Idvingston had been a patient at the Highlands-Cashiers Hospital before being transferred to the Sylva hospital* Mr, Pted Dean, brother of Mr. W. T. Dean who is a summer resident of High lands, died suddenly Saturday, August 7, of a heart attack. Mr. aXid Mrs* W. T* Dean attended the funeral in Atlanta, Ga*, on Sunday. Mr. Carl Aaybe, of Atlanta, Ga., died Friday at the Highlands-Cashiers Hospitpl. Miss Edith Inglesby, of Bluffton, S. C., and Miss Shelia Cole, of Seven Oaks, Kent, England, are visiting Mrs. George Saussy at her home “High Field” for a week. Also visiting Mrs. Saussy is her daughter, Mrs* E. J* Foley, Jr., of West Columbia, and her grandchildren. Miss Caroline Hall, who has been recovering from surgery at the Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, is ex pected to rexurn home within a fsw days. , . , , for the BEST Properties on the market, .,•••.
