IS'*" and 16**', the Reli gious Life division of Campus Life held its annual Mustardseed Re treat at Rockbrook Camp outside Brevard on Highway 276. Students from across campus, as well as some alumni, gathered together to make s’mores, play guitar, worship, have discussion, eat, play, and hike. Leading the retreat were Chaplain Shelly Webb and AD for Student Growth and Development, Dee Dasburg. Highlights included a birthday celebration for Sophomore Kara Peacock and alumnus LaDonna Huffaker, a “killer” game of ulti mate frisbee, and hikes on both evenings to Castle Rock to watch the sunset. Said one student, “The hike is hard and steep, but the view was totally worth it. And having to find our way back down in the dark definitely built community.” The group was provided with supplies from the cafeteria to make their own meals. The now-tradi- tional Saturday morning pancake- flipping was headed up this year by LaDonna Huffaker, by now a professional at the task. Huffaker, Dasburg, and Chelsea Christ (former BC student who trans ferred to Appalachian State) braved Friday night outside. Said another student, “We had a lot of fun and I hope that the re treat continues for years to come.” The Mustardseed retreat is held every fall and is not limited to members of religious life groups. The Wesley Foundation meets Thursday nights at 8:00 in the Wesley House. Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets Tuesday nights at 9:00 in the South Village Pavilion. Religious Life holds weekly campus worship Sunday nights at 7:30 in the Reserve Din ing Hall. Photo courtesy of Jamie Michaels
