Southern Die Casting Friday the 13th may seem to some of us an unlucky day. For the benefit of those who might be somewhat super stitious, we suggest that you take notice of the sweet little thing shown here. She's Margaret Carter Woollen. Margaret was born to Sarah and Jim Woollen on Friday, April 13, and weigh ed in at 7 pounds and 2 ounces. BothSarah and the new baby are fine. As for the father. . .well, you know how new fathers are. Anyway, isn't this proof enough that good omens still come out of Friday the 13th? Con gratulations to the new parents ! ! ! Congratulations and best wishes to Larry White and Tony Shoemaker on their recent marriages. We would have offered congratulations sooner, but who knew about the weddings ? Babette Weber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Weber, has once more been honored as an outstanding student of the senior class at High Point Senior High School by being chosen for membership in The National Honor Society. This honor is not easily achiev ed and we offer congratulations to this fine young student. Babette has also been very active in the field of public speaking. Mac Panel Panel Plant: Neil Brown had a birthday. He also had a flat tire with no spare. The Date? Friday, the 13th of April! James Barlow and family spent a very cold weekend in Beckley, West Virginia. It snowed, not once, but twice before they got back home. Who got the biggest kick out of the joke played on Ed Jocka? Office: After months of waiting and much preparation, Marianne Gekas, our switchboard operator, departed for New York City on March 26. Her car just couldn't get her there fast enough. Marianne wasn't touring New York; she was there for a very im portant rendezvous. After two days of driving, Marianne arrived at Pier 42 of the New York harbor. Here, after five years, she was reunited with her parents and brother. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Berglund and son, Buren, originally of Finland, are now residents of High Point. To them, we extend a very cordial wel come . All of the MAC Panel girls enjoyed a luncheon prepared Swedish style by Mrs. Allen Berglund, mother of Marianne Gekas. One word descrip tion: Delicious ! * i) WEBER PRESIDES The last meeting of the Society of Die Casting Engineers, Inc. , North Carolina Chapter #15, was held on March 22, 1962, at Schrafft's Restau rant in High Point.
