ANCIENT MARINERS President Marty Hare is happy to declare that our Mid-Season Banquet at the Country Club was a success from all points of view. 92 bowlers and/or spouses attended; the food and entertainment was relished by all. At this writing only 9 weeks remain on the schedule. Millie Herbst's team has managed to stay in first place, but several are close behind; namely George Broadstreet and Bob Gallo. The 200-plus club included Ed Peter [215], Bob Kent [200], Frank Herbst [222] and Brad Smith [207]. Vivian Macdonald [189] and Millie Herbst [184] were in the 180 plus club; Lily Zaminer, Janie Briley and Edna Kent almost made it. Believe it - or not - Ed Peters says he washes his bowling ball each week before bowling. [Don't knock it if you haven't tried it!] STEW COX - for Jack Morris [Hurry Back, Jack!] --------- oOo -------- NORTH CAROLINA AQUARIUM NEEDS VOLUNTEERS The North Carolina Aquarium is looking for volunteers to assist the staff in some of the Aquarium's operations.
