I o PINE KNOLL SHORES WOMEN'S CLUB "Women and Money" will be the featured topic at Pine Knoll Shores Women's Club on Friday, May 24, at Town Hall. Coffee will be served at 9:30 AM, followed by the program. Guest speakers, Doug Goines, Attorney; Joy Bell, CPA, and Sandy Starling, investment advisor, will offer professional advice and information to help women become more knowledgeable in making sound financial decisions. Also, on Tuesday, May 7, there will be a bus trip to Raleigh, featuring a visit to the North Carolina Museum of Art in the morn ing, and lunch and shopping later at the Crabtree Mall. This event is planned in cooperation with the Carteret Newcomer's Club. Advance reservations are required. The cost for transportation is $14 per person. Guests are welcome. The bus will depart from McDonald's parking lot, near Wal-Mart, at 7:30 AM. At press time, there were still seats available. To make reservations, call Grace Meyers, 247- 7926, or Mary Ann Cornelius, 247-3457. Reservations are also being taken by Marilyn Clements, 726-2852, Newcomers Club. Keep in mind that the annual spring luncheon will be Friday, June 7, at the Dunes Club. A musical program is planned, featuring pianist Marge Sellers and other area artists. The cost and menu will be announced. Ruth Pearson, Publicity NOtTH-CAKOLINA NORTH CAROLINA AQUARIUM SIGN ON FOR "TURTLE TRIP" If you want a guaranteed dose of "warm fuzzies," sign on for the N.C. Aquarium's AQUARIUMS annual "Sea Turtle Release Trip" on May 24. Hurry! Of the 40 available spaces, more than half are already filled! The trip runs from 8 to 11 a.m. and is open to ages 6 and up. Youngsters under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $20 per person, $18 for Aquarium Society members. Trip participants will meet at the aquarium at 8 a.m. for a short program on sea turtles. They will then proceed in their personal vehicles to the Beaufort waterfront to board the Mystery Tourboat, docked in front of the Beaufort House Restaurant on Front street. If nice weather prevails, the Mystery will motor outside Beaufort Inlet to release the turtles off Shackleford Banks. If seas are rough, the boat will remain in inside waters and the turtles will be released in Beaufort Inlet. To register, or for more information, call th aquarium at 247-4004. ANCIENT MARINERS Our annual Bowling Awards dinner was held April 9, at Ramada Inn and hosted by our vivacious president, Faye Szypulski. After a delicious dinner, prizes were awarded amidst much laughter and applause. The program ended with the introduction of our new officers.
