25-Yr. Meet Sets Attendance Record One of the best-attended 25-Year Club meetings on record was held in the Draper Elementary School cafeteria Saturday morning, November 4, for members in the Draper Sheeting Mill, Sheet Finishing Mill, General Offices and Specials Department. In brief remarks, Robert A. Harris, senior vice president, described the growth of Fieldcrest Mills, Inc., and on behalf of the general management thanked the long-service employees for their contribution to the success of the Company. C. L. Kametches, division vice presi dent and general manager of sheet man ufacturing, reported on mill activities and spoke in optimistic terms concern ing the future business outlook. Mr. Kametches expressed appreciation for the cooperation and good work of the 25-Year Club members. He said people are the Company’s most import ant asset and described the sheeting op eration as “a real team effort.” K. W. Foddrell, plant manager of the Sheet Finishing Mill, was master of ceremonies and presented the new members becoming eligible for the 25- Year Club this year. He recognized 50- year emiployees as follows: Mamie J. Burcham, W. A. Blackburn, S. L. Gold en, Annie V. Lea, Mollie B. Lea and A. D. Weaver. Lewis as accompanist; and by The Am bassadors. Both features were greatly enjoyed. Miss Sheckells is the grand daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Medford, both retired from the Sheeting Weave Room. Drawings For Prizes In the drawings for attendance prizes, conducted by R. C. Going, plant man ager of the Draper Sheeting Mill, win ners were: Nellie Sprinkle, Addie Young Cochran, Margie Frazier, Silas Strader, Elizabeth Joyce, Ethel Adkins, Lucille Bradford, Ethel Page, Ruth Minter, Eu nice Overby, Mary Strader, James Nel son, Sherman Hailey, John W. Page, Kenneth Brown, Lillian Kestner and Virginia Hurd. Entertainment was furnished by 12- year-old Sharon Sheckells, with Evelyn J. Otis Robertson, a 25-Year Club member from the Sheeting Weave Room, gave the invocation preceding the luncheon.
