BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT Mr. and Mrs. Claud Nicholson of Raleigh announce the birth of a daughter, Mary Fay, on Novem ber 26, 1941, at Mary Elizabeth Hospital in Raleigh. ENTERTAINS Mrs. Macon Moore, Jr., enter tained at bridge at her home on Roanoke Avenue on Wednesday evening, honoring her husband on his birthday. Mrs. Roy Overby of Warrenton was winner of high score prize, and Ferdie Moore won low score award. Christmas Story Will Be Presented The beloved story, “The Bird: Christmas Carol”, will be dram atized in the Weldon High Schoo auditorium on Friday night, De cember 5, by the Methodist Youtl Division. Dealing with simple pleasure: that show to each that the spiri of Christmas is no lost blessing, bu a very real thing, the story of th< drama brings again the messagi that is in order this year as in al previous years. It shows that sen sible expenditure on hospitality anc fun appropriate to the season i: never wasted, and “The Bird: Christmas Carol” has an appeal fo: young and old alike. Contract Club The Contract Club was delight fully entertained on Wednesday afternoon by Mrs. Pendleton Griz zard at her home on Roanoke Avc Throughout the spacious living room and dining room fall flowers were used with lovely effect There were sixteen guests. Wednesday Club The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club enjoyed a most delightful aft ernoon of bridge as the guests of Mrs. Roderick Meikle. Through the home late fall flowers arranged attractively, added their beauty. Three tables of players enjoyed five progressions, and when the scores were added Mrs. Wilmer Collier was found to hold the high est score and was presented a prize. For refreshments a salad course with coffee was enjoyed. Those enjoying this afternoon of bridge were: Mesdames Wilmer Collier, D. E. Bennett, E. H. Fuller, W. G. Cherry, W.
