They enjoyed visit ing in the Rest Homes, also sing ing under the windows of the sick ! and elderly. Following the carol- I ling they enjoyed cookies and hot ; chocolate at the Youth Center. The Primary Class with Mrs. Lib Massey enjoyed their party Sunday afternoon. They had a nice time and enjoyed their re freshments. The Annual Ladies Willing Work ers Band party was enjoyed last Thursday night. Games were played, presents were exchanged and the ladies and their husbands enjoyed red punch, star and bell shaped sandwiches, crackers and cheese spread, potato chips and fruit cake and candy for refresh ments. Miss Ruth Massengill of Dor othy Dix Hospital was made hap py on Friday when Rev. and Mrs. Powers, Pauline Harding and Lib Massey visited her with a gown and robe, a sweater and a nativity set. The gifts were purchased by various people who wanted to bring Ruto some Christmas cheer. The Young Peoples Sunday School Class with Mrs. G. L. Wall enjoyed a Christmas party at the Youth Center on Friday night. The Intermediates of the Bap tist Church went Carolling Wed nesday night with Mr. Hubert Den ton, Mrs. Lottie Grice and Mrs. Edith Wadford, and Mr. Gene Bak er. They had refreshments fol lowing at the Educational Bldg. The Sunbeams had their Christ- mase party on Sunday afternoon at the Educational Bldg. They had fun with Joyce Davis and Inez Stroud. Class for Nursing Assistants to Begin Dr. Kenneth Wold, president of tne W. W. Holding industrial Edu cation Center, announced today tnat ciases will begin on January 11 lor both male and female nurs ing assistants. These classes will be taugnt at Waxe Memorial Hos pital. Sunday night following church services the members of the choir of Glen Royal Baptist had a get- together. They presented both Mr. and Mrs. Curtis with gifts — and he gave to each member a choir pin. Mrs. Maddie Pearl Crowder is still in the hospital at this time, but will surely be home for Christmas. She is much better. Miss Kathy Lentz returned home over the weekend. The kids from colleges are com ing in. Miss Faye Harding from Cleveland, Tennessee arrived Sat urday afternoon — Mr. Ervin Cole from E. C. on Friday. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Roy Perry. They were united in holy matrimony at her father’s church in Durham by her father. Rev. Addleton on Sunday. We wish for them a long and happy life. They have one other child, Bert, age 4. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Pruden, Sr., left by car on Thursday to spend the Christmas Holidays with their son, Capt. and Mrs. A. L. Pruden, Jr., and family in Panama City, Fla. Mrs. E. B. Roberts, Sr., left by plane early Thursday to spend the Holiday Season with Mrs. E. B. Roberts, Jr., and family in At lanta, Ga. Donald Shearon, was expected to arrive in Rolesville late on Tuesday from Somerset, Ky., where he has been with the tobacco market. Members of Mrs. G. J. Robert son’s family all had their Christ mas dinner at her home on Thurs day night. Mr. and Mrs. L. Norris Rogers, and daughter Aileen, along with a son, Robert, visited on Saturday with Mrs. Dwight Rogers at her home in Burlington. Edwards and Sharron, and Miss Marcia Barham, all of Rolesville; and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Scarboro and son Of Smithfield, were all dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Barham and family at their home in Raleigh. Tony Wall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wall, has arrived home from the Carolina Military Academy, to spend the holidays.
