To Bond McCamy (Age 2 years, 2 months) Snuggle up real close, now And listen carefuUy To what Christmas really is And how it came to be. I’ll try very hard to tell you In words you understand; But there is so much that’s new to you. I’m not sure I can. You know of Baby Jesus Sleeping in a manger filled with hay. Well, Christmas is a party For Baby Jesus’s Birthday. He went to heaven long ago And we can’t give gifts to him you see; So we give them to each other. In honor of his memory. We sing and pray to Jesus’s Daddy And thank him for His son. For Jesus was God’s Christmas gift to us Each and every one. He came to Earth to tell us How to live the way we should — How to be kind and loving. Unselfish, sweet, and good. And since we love him very much But He’s in heaven now — We celebrate His birthday by being good. The other Christmas customs. Like Santa and the rest. Are all because Jesus taught us To think of others’ happiness. So you enjoy your presents And the sparkling Christmas tree And Santa Claus’s visit And all the fun there’ll be. But remember who the party’s for And don’t forget to stop and say, “Thank you, God, for Jesus And we hope He has a very nice birthday.” Jean Bond McCamy December 1962 NOTICE NOR’TH CAROLINA WAKE COUNTY Having qualified as administra tor of the Estate of Ernest Roy ster, deceased, late of Wake Coun ty, North Carolina, this is to no tify aU persons, firms, and cor porations having claims against the estate of said deceased to ex hibit them to the xmdersigned at Box 486, Wake Forest, North Car olina, on or before the 3rd day of June, 1965, or this notice will be pleaded in bar of their recovery. THE CHURCH FOR AUU ALL FOR THE CHURCH The Church is the greatest factor on earth for the build ing of character and good citizenship. It is a st Louse of spiritual values. \Vuiiout a strong church, neither democracy nor civilization can survive. There are four sound reasons why every person should attend services regularly and support the church. They are: (1) For his own sake. (2) For his chil dren’s sake. (3) For the sake of his community and nation. (4) For the sake of the church itself, which needs his moral and material support. Plan to go to church regularly and read your Bible daily.
