Nineteen volunteer members of the FTA are working with particular students one hour per day with the main ob jective of helping these stu dents improve their reading skills. Various reading skill build ers are used. One of the fav orites with the instructors, as well as students, is a version of the popular television quiz game “Password.” Word meanings, spelling, pronunci ation and phonetic skills are only a few of the applications of the approach to leading development. The choir, directed by Miss Nancy Hare, sang a portion of the musical “Tell It Like It Is,” written by Ralph Carmichael. The service also consisted of testimonies given by the youth. The group is accom panied by Miss Thelma Good vein, pianist, and Buddy Lowe on the drums. On Sunday the youth will conduct services at their home church. Bruce Cope land will be the guest speak er Sunday morning, and the youth will present a play Sunday evening entitled “The Choice Is Yours.” Services begin at 11 A. M. and 7:30 P. M. Law enforcement officers should have only one purpose, the enforcement of the law. If dodging work is n paying business*'“ there should be many millionaires around town.
