Thursday, March 2, lWt Valentine Party This was Just a classroom party, It was held in the second grade room. Mrs. Harless is really a wonderful teacher, <r children seemed to be in a bloom. There were a number of mothers there, To treat the pupils on that special day. They served cupcakes, candy hearts and drinks, We left, they were eating on the way. I cared for my five year old grandson, While his mother helped serve the treats. Merrill T. is in the second grade room, Their Valentine drawings were pretty and neat. Every child in the room is very special, In Mrs. Harless’s, their teachers, sight. Yes she very carefully watches over them, To be confident everything is all right. All the children introduced their selves, I recall the little girl with eyes of brown. She set quietly in her desk to my left, No, she didn’t stand up or look around. They had been looking forward to this event, Yes, my seven year old grandson Merrill T. He is very fond of going to school, Set right in his desk, quiet as could be. Children is what keeps this old world turning, Its really wonderful to watch them grow up. they were only babies of yesterday, W>n mothers knee, drinking milk from a cup. Train up your children while they are young, And tugging at your apron strings. Tell them the difference between right and wrong, And explain to them a lot of helpful things. BY MARY LIZZIE LANE Amtrak And Kellogg Offer ... Free Train Rides For The Kids Gig y v* .> VT Children under twelve can now ride Amtrak trains free as part of a special promo tional offer by Amtrak and Kellogg. For a limited time, family-size boxes of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, Frosted Flakes and Raisin Bran will feature coupons redeemable for free Amtrak train tickets for kids. Any child presenting the special coupon and three box tops from any of the cereals will travel free when accompanied by an adult buying a full-fare, non-discount ticket. The coupons will be good for travel anywhere in the U.S., and will be honored by Amtrak through January, 1979, except during specified peak travel periods. The “Free Kiddy Ride” coupon shows Kellogg’s Tony the Tiger at the controls of an Amtrak locomotive. Amtrak is out to win over new riders, and feels that the pro motional offer will give people the opportunity to ride the trains and save some money in the bargain. The program is the first known cooperative effort in this country between a na tional transportation corporation and a major food producer offering free transporta tion as a promotional item. Kellogg recently tried a similar program in Great Britain that proved highly successful. Amtrak has estimated that more than half-a-million travelers will take advantage of this offer. / T?exa// >1 FREE BOTTLE supcr menamms, Multi-Vitamin Multi-Mineral Supplement 'MX™ THESE SPECIALS HOUR STORE* KM 38 TABLETS FREE ) RhrKO| when you buy 72 KaKzrifl *8.60 value... only *5.65 %*iaza YOU SAVE *2.95 RM 72 TABLETS FKC when you buy 144 K-MLsJB *15.60 value... only *9.95 YOU SAVE *5.65 HrPR 144 TABLETS FREE when you buy 288 * 25 ’ 90 value • ■ ■ only *1 5.95 SAVE *935 Take one tablet each day to get the vitammo end minerals your body needs to function properly.
