Adn^lttance fees will be 25 and 35 cents. ■V Thomas Lillard Passes At Elkia Blkln, Dec. 13.—Thomas Mason Lillard, 73, one of Elkin’s most prominent cltlsens died today at noon at his hon^e. His death end ed a serlonS Illness of a year. During the 62 years of hls resi dence In Elkin, he has been as Bociated with Chatham Manufac turing company, and for many years has been vice president of the firm. He was a member of the hoard of stewards and for many years treasurer of Elkin Metho dist church. He taught the Sun day school class which bears hls name. He was twice married, first to Miss Kate Gwyn. of Elkin. His second wife, who survives, was the former Miss Marlon Kelly. Other Immediate survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Van W. Dillon, Jr„ Mrs. John Sagar, Mrs Robert H. Harris, of Blkln; four grandchllden; five brothers. James V. Lillard, of Blkln, J. W.. John and D. W. Lillard, of Deca tur, Tenn., and V. C. Forester, Jr. ■ Elkin, Dec. 15. — Business and industry ceased from 11 to 11:30 o’clock, the hour of the funeral of Thomsis Mason Lillard, 73, vice- president of Chatham Manufactur ,lng Co., whose death Monday cast a pall of gloom over the tovrn. All stores of the town and the plant of Chatham Manufacturing Co., of which he was a vital part for more that halt a century, joined In si lent tribute. The service In Elkin Methodist church of which he was long a leader, was attended by a vast throng of friends. Burial was in Hollywood cemetery. On Beverage Group N. S. Forester, Jr., proprietor of Forester Beverage company in this city, has been named a dis trict chairman' for the Brewing Industry Foundation committee In North Carolina.
