Approximately forty members of the North Wllkesboro high school flee dub attended a dis trict meeting held in the Mineral Springs School at Winston-Salem Friday. The club for their per formance received a rating of av erage. Miss Sarah Jane Jndy, club director, Miss Peggy Nichols, and Mrs. J. H. Whicker, Sr., accom panied the group to the meet ing. Mr. Jimmy Blair left Strhday for the Georgia Military Academy at College Park, Ga., after spend ing the week-end here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Blair. He was accompanied as far as Charlotte, by Mr. Thomas Faw and Miss Virginia Smith, of Charlotte, who was a guest here for the week-end in the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Faw. Jimmy made the trip from and to Georgia by plane. Mrs. L. B. Bobbitte, of Greens boro, visited here from Wednes day until Saturday with her mo ther, Mrs. W. E. Gaither, and other relatives. Mrs. Bobbitte ac companied Mrs. Gaither home. She had been in Tampa, Fla., for six weeks with her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Gai ther. Mrs. Bobbitte's daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Will iam Swift, came up for the day Saturday to take Mrs. Bobbitte home. A Surry County farmer, James Cook, fed more hay last winter to one cow and one mule than he has fed this winter to eight cows and two mules. The reason: Last spring he seeded a five-acre per manent pasture of Ladlno clover and orchard, grass which has given excellent grazing. I960, 1ms ordered that North (Wilkesboro Township be and the same is herby changed to comprise three voting precincts, namely: North '* Wilkesboro * Precinct No. 1 comprised of the corpoarte limits of the town oi~ North Wilkesboro, the regular poling place of thiB precinct to be in the City Hall in the town of North Wilkesboro. North Wilkesboro Precinct Number 2 will be comprised of that portion of the present North Wilkesboro Township lying and being west of Reddies River, same beginning at the mouth of Red dies River, and running up the Yadkin River to the Reddies River township line; thence with Red dies River Township line a north Ward direction to Reddifes River; thence south down Reddies River to the point of beginning. Hie poling place to be at or near Moore's Grocery on Highway 421. North Wilkesboro Precinct Number 3 to include that portion of North Wilkesboro township be ginning at the norty-west corner of the corporate limits of ■ the town of North Wilkesboro at Reddies River, *and running east with the north line of the cor porate limits of the town of North Wilkesboro u> the north east corner of the corporate limits; thence in a southerly di rection -with the east line - of tht corporate limits to the Yadkii River; thence down the Yadkin River to-the Rock Creek Township line; thence northwest with the Rock Creek Township line to Mul berry Township line; thence west with Mulberry Township line to Reddies River; thence down Red dies River to the point of begin ning. The poling place to be at or near J. W. Jones' Store on Highway 18. It is farther ordered by the Board of Ejections that there shall be a new registration in and for the three precincts designated, to wit: North Wilkesboro Precinct Number 1, North Wilkesboro Pre. cinct Number 2, and North Wilkesboro Precinct No. 3, and all electors* are hereby notified that it will be necessary for them to re-register or register before they are permitted to participate in any primary or election.
