C., UNDER THE ACT OF CONGRESS, MARCH 3, 1879 Simple Plans For Tour Entertainment , Chairman Carter P. Brown of Jhe entertainment committee stat ed today that no elaborate program would be arranged for the visiting travel agency officials who are coming td Tryon on Oct. 17, to spend the night. Every effort will bo made to present Tryon as it is. There will be no sales talks, or ballyhoo. The guests will be escort ed by Tryon’s regular winter resi dents who have no commrecial in terest in the community. A buffet supper will be served at Lake Lanier Inn and on account of Lmited room only representatives of the various organizations and officials in charge of the program can be taken daire of. Drivers’ License Every person who has an auto mobile registered in Raleigh will •receive an application blank for their drivers’ license. Those who do not have a car with North ’Carolina tag and registration will have to get a blank from some local service station or gajrage. Tryon Motor Co., now has a few and those that need them may apply there, but will have to hurry as they will not last long. Apple Auction A part of the apples at the Polk County Apple Show will be sold at public auction this after noon at 4 o’clock by C. J. Lynch.
