Wife files suit in Los Angeles, but igctar in New York professes ig norance. 9 *3 Tryon Bank Passes Half Million Mark For the first time in its history the Tryon Bank & Trust Company resources have amounted to $500, 000.00. This half million dollar mark was reached this week. The statement on November 1 showed $467,076.60 for total resources. The local bank under the active management of vice - president Julie n B. Hester, has been grow ing steadily each year and at the same time increasing its useful ness to the community. Lady Astor And Son Win Election T ady Nancy Astor running for re-election as s, member of the British parliament won a big majority in English election held yesterday. Her son, young William Aster, running for the first time, defeated the Labor candidate, J. C. Wilmot, by 1050 votes. Most of the women lost their seats in the House of Commons. Lady Astor has represented her district since 1918. The first drawings from Tryon’s $800 cash prize fund will be held on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 aT the Town Hall. All ticket holders should arrange their tickets in numerical order and list them in such a way that they will know al most immediately whether they have the lucky number or not. A few minutes will be allowed be tween drawings in order to allow holders to find their tickets.
