Pointe Laure, Mahe, Seychelles Dear Seth, i our having a London corres pondent ins-pires me to write you a few lines from the Sechelles. Wandering around the world as I have been doing for the past 18 months I have been much impress ed by the outlook of the mahy men in many countries whom I have met. Of course the “Depression” is a common topic, or rather the pos sibilities of a revival of business and prosperity. While with each individual according to his occupa tion and near-view-point and in each country according to its own Yedominant problems of agricul ture or commerce there are hopes or anxieties for improvements in special lines yet. And this is the really important point) Every where I go and withwhomever I talk the great emphasis for pros perity is put on the revival of world trade, international trade. It has been borne in on me many times by the wise men of many countries that there is no hope for real improvement in any one coun try until international trade can be revived in a large way with real confidence.
