Busy School The Tryon Craft School con ducted by* Miss Vance and Miss Yale in the former Toy Shop building on Howard street, is a very busy little place these days with nearly 30 pupils from the Tryon graded school taking lessons in drawing, block printing and wood-carving. These splendid teachers are giving Tryon young people wonderful opportunities and the community is fortunate in having them here to pass on to others the art and cnaftsmansip which they have gathered from all over the world. They are being ia~:vsted by Miss Clare Briggs of Leesburg, Va., daughter of the late famous cartoonist Briggs, whose subject, “When A Fellow Needs A Friends”, was a popular feature in many newspapers.
