Mrs. G. J. Schoff Mrs. C. J. Schoff, 77, passed away Friday afternoon a'oout 2:30 o’clock following a stroke seven weeks ago. Private funeral ser vices will be held this afternoon at 2:30 at the McFarland Funer al Home. Dr. C. Arthur Lincoln will officiate. The pallbearers will be W. P. Jackson, C. M. Howes, R. H. Brady, Robert Limbert and Dr. J. E. Derby. Interment in Tryon cemetery. M]rs. Schoff was born in Cleve land, Ohio, and later moved to Michigan, coming to Tryon about 15 years ago to make her home. M*rs. Schoff is survived by one son and two daughters, H. R. Schoff of Cadillac, M'ich., Mrs. Frank Bowen of Cadillac and Miss Gertrude Schoff of Tryon and they all three were here when the end came. TRYON, North Carolina Brevard Rector Will Serve At Saluda Church The Rev, Harry Perry, rector of St. Philip’s Episcopal church of Brevard, has been appointed by Bishop R. E. Gribbin to take charge of the Church of the Transfigura tion at Saluda. Mr. Perry w : ll as sume his new duties in addition to continuation of his rectorship of the St. Philip’s church. Mr. Perry states that he and fam'ly will remain in Brevard for the present, but that they will pro bably move later to Saluda, where the church has a rectory.—Tran sylvania Times. Miss Ruth Manville has returnea from a visit in New York. J. 0. Carson of Sewickley, Pa., is visaing his mother, Mrs. M. O. Kelley. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bartol, St., of New York have arrived at the Auberge and will be here until after the Erskine-Bartol wedding.
