Murtfeldt, followed with the repeating of the Scout Oath, led by R. M. Schiele, Scout Executive. After a few introductory re marks the following Scouts were advanced in rank: Tenderfoot: Marion Rhodes, Carl Foster, Stephen Carroll Brady, James Arledge, Thad McGraw, Coke Foster, Tryon Troop No. 1. Firemanship: Joe Lewellyn, Try on Troop 1. Home Repair: Seth Taylor, Billy McKaig, Troop No. 1. Reading: White, Troop 1. Woodwork: Ed. Endrews, Troop No. 1. Star Rank: Ed. Andrews, Joe Lewellyn, Troop No. 1. After awards of previous courts were lryade the meeting adjourned with the repeating of the Scout benediction. ... Men serving on the court were County Chairman R. H. Brady, J. M. Baker, G. H. Bridgeman, Lawrence Mazzanovich, Seth M. Vining, Dr. C. W. McCall, A. O. Yearger, Rev. Frank W. Murtfeldt, R. B. White, and R. M. Schiele. Miss Mary LeBlond has return ed to Cincinnati, Ohio, after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Flynn. Mrs. M. G. Herring’ of Spartan burg and ‘ daughter, Mrs. Melvin Henderson of Lexington, Ky., have returned to Spartanburg after a visit with Mrs. Ellen Jacobs and Miss Sally Justice.
