A major component of the center will be AA Child Development for approximately 60 children with a phased capacity for .180. Therefore, drop in child care will also be available to allow parents time to access a range of on-site satellite human services. The F/C DS will begin with needs assessment and school readiness testing through initial outreach. Once enrollment is established, the F/C DS will be primarily responsible for the child development portion of the program, although family referral and assessment may be ongoing. The F/C DS is responsible for long term outcome measurement and maintenance to determine the effectiveness of the child development center. Familiarity with software designed for this pur pose is a plus. The F/C DS will be resposible for recruiting and hiring (with board approval) very well qualified child care providers. Jt is imperative for the F/C DS to have genuine interest in the long term success of the families and children ■being served. This individual must have a high energy llevel, be healthy, highly organized and possess good ^managerial skills. Programs are designed to address ■community need; therefore, hours of operation may ■include second shift, evenings or weekends.
