BHS Last Will And Testament The Senior Class of 1954, be ing of sound mind and body, now preparing to depart from these well-loved halls of ole BHS for the once-in-a lifetime method, hereby leaves a few of its many valuable and good characteristics to some of the fortunate students who will fill these halls again next year. Harold Morris leaves his red hair and freckles to Doug Henson. Grace McCrary leaves her bas ketball problems to next year’s manager. Charles Pierson leaves all his manager’s troubles to his brother, David. Joyce Raxter leaves her trem endous height to Earl Arnette. Elizabeth Holden leaves her ways with the teachers to the Fos ter twins, Jean and Janice. Becky Hudson leaves her bas ketball ability to Beverly Taylor and Sarah Fortune. Imogene Fortune and Marilyn Christenson leave their quietness and sweet dispositions to Ruth Holden and Sue Burrell. Martha Talley and Pat Patter son leave their many men to Chris tine Wilson and Kay Beaver. Carolyn Daniels leaves her pretty red hair to Donna Bryson. Viola Poteet leaves her going to-school-tho-married problems to Larry Turner. Arvella Parker and Annie Hoi lifield leave their seats in short hand to Joann McCrary and Diane Younghusband while Annie Heath leaves her shorthand book to Bar bara Gotshaw. Pat Kimzey and Janet Miller leave their ability to get around to Ann Huffman and Margaret Biddy. Dottie Kizer gives her chemistry book to anyone willing to take it. Homer Cox leaves his nick names to Gene McCrary. Vera Rahn and Bobby Allison leaves a wonderful companionship to Arthur Bishop and Martha Mc Crary. Joyce Galloway leaves her sun tan to Harry Killstrom. Ray Talley leaves his voice to Charles Bishop who certainly doesn’t need it. John Allen McCrary and Charles Suttles leaves their underclass men girlfriends to no one. Harold Crane and John Bolick leave their height to Mary Lou Allison and Jean Owen. Jim Kimzey leaves the debating team to Eugene Keener. Beverly Bryant leaves her mus ic to Agnes Hamilton. Harry Nicholson and Jack Frady leave their school buses to next year’s drivers. Paul Baynard leaves his physique to Eddie Grant and Troy Edwards. Lowell Bryson leaves his abili ty to get into trouble to Charles Thomas. Patsy Burns and Barbara Gallo way leave their love for jokes to Sandra Coan and Sara Evans. Fred Parker leaves his bashful ness to Billy Batson and Edward Galloway. J. B. Brown and Robert Earl Tinsley leave their love of English literature to Helen and Mary Lou Galloway. To Bobbie Cox goes Jeanette Foster’s neatness. Nell Hogsed wills her green chevy to Conroy Hooper. Patsy Reid leaves her black curley hair to Etta Snelson. Patsy Nicholson leaves her type writer to Bobby Tucker. Mildred Chappell and Margaret Coren leave their ability to cut classes to Dot Collins and Gail Matthews. Ed Davis leaves his blue devil costume to Jackie McKelvey. Gertha Shipman and Harold Aiken leave their ability to get out of work to Henry Snelson and Bill Hunter. Lynn McGaha leaves his love for younger girls to Obie Willing ham and A. L. Moore. Eddie Philips leaves his French verb charts to Eleanor Kelly. Dot Saxton leaves her love for skating to Frances Waters. Helen Hefner and Barbara Rob inson will their love for fun to Pat Duckworth and Becky Price. The seniors leave all senior privileges to next years senior class and those wonderful front seats in chapel to them. To the class of '*55 the class of ’54 leaves its capacity for having a good time. The class spirit of the seniors is left to the class of ’56. Next year’s sophmores receive our violent class meetings, and to the freshmen we leave our love for Brevard high school. We, the graduating class of ’54, leave all our worries and trials, friends and fun, with love, to fu ture graduating classes of B.H.S. He will succeed John Allen McCrary. Other offi cers for 1955 are Shirley Byrd, vice president; Myrtle Owen, secre tary, and Anita Patterson, treasur er. Bob, a newly elected member of the student council, plays football, is in the Monogram, Key and Jour nalism clubs, a member of the Broadcaster staff, sports editor for ’54-’55, vice president of his jun ior class, and was a member of the junior play cast. Shirley, a rising junior, is a mem ber of the FHA and the 4-H club, and is active in her church. Myrtle, a junior at BHS, is a cheerleader, a member of the Mon ogram, Booster, Beta, Square dance team, and was in the junior play. Anita, a junior also, is a cheer leader, a member of the Monogram, Booster and Beta clubs, and a for mer member of the square dance team. She was an usher for the jun ior play. Before the election the campaign managers displayed posters in the halls, and at the student rally they introduced their candidates. Others in the race for the presi dency were Vivian Hollingsworth, Sandra Coan, and Paul Capell; for secretary and treasurer were Caro lyn Holden, Vivian Hollingsworth, Sandra Coan, Charles Burgess, Eu gene Baker, Paul Capell, and John ny Lambert; for vice president were Margaret Shipman, Judy Hutchins, Delia Ann Gravely, Johnny Hug gins, Gerald Reese and Weldon English. Other members of the student council are: Donnie Peterson, Lor raine Emory, Nancy Shook, Boots Davis, Edwin Owen and Ronnie Hunnicutt.
