Editors Of BHS Publications Chosen JIMMY GAITHER CLIFTON METCALF JEAN PICKELSIMER PATSY DUNCAN Metcalf, Gaither To Edit Broadcaster; Duncan, Pickelsimer Head Annual Mrs. Fitzpatrick Names Complete Staff For ’55 Brevard ier Mrs. Betty Fitzpatrick, faculty advisor, announces that Patsy Dun can and Jean Pickelsimer will serve as co-editors for the ’54-’55 Brevadier. The literary editor, Diane Young husband, will be assisted by Vivian Hollingsworth, Carolyn Osborne and Rowell Bell. Myrtle Owen and Buddy Rhodes will be co-sports editors. Beverly Taylor and Arthur Bishop will as sist them. Margaret Biddy will act as pho tography editor and she will be as sisted by Harvey Sigmon. The ’54-’55 circulation editor is Ann Huffman. Assistants are San dra Coan, Anita Paterson, Janice Brown, Arlene Mull, Tina Sellars, f Shelby Grogan, and Weldon Eng lish. Martha McCrary has been chosen to be the business manager. Arthur Lindley is the new adver tising editor. Assisting him is Ed de McGaha. The art will be handled by Clarence Goodson, Betty Hensley, and Pat Bennett. Cox, Turner, Cabe, Wells And Fortune Will Hold Posts Clifton Metcalf as editor-in-chief will be the head of the Broadcaster staff for 1954-1955. Jimmy Gaither, managing editor, will be in charge of the Times column. The slate of new officers for the coming year has been completed and is announ ced by the Broadcaster faculty ad visor, Mrs. Kimzey. Jimmy Gaither will be assisted by Sarah Fortune and James Opie Wells, assistant managing editors. Larry Turner and Bobby Lee Cox will manager the business as co business editors. Bob Cabe is the new sports editor and Gayle Ram sey is his assistant sports report er. Beverly Hargis will be feature editor. Co-circulation editors are John Huggins and Stanley Scruggs. The reporters for the coming year are Dot Collins, Gail Peters, Rhuemma Carter, Nancy Pickelsi mer, Eleanor Kelley, Bob Stewart and Gail Matthews. Clifton will be news editor and general manager seeing that Broad casters meet press deadlines. REA SLIDES ARE SHOWN AT MEET OF TOXAWAY CLUB Community Group Making Plans For June Radio Pro gram Over WPNF By MRS. H. D. LEE (Omitted Last Week) LAKE TOXAWAY — A covered dish supper was given by the Lake Toxaway Community club at the Lake Toxaway school on May 4th, at 7:30 p. m. R. C. Sheffield, manager of the Haywood Electric Membership cor poration, was present and showed slides of the Haywood development program, which was very interest ing. As this was the regular monthly meeting of the club, chairmen were elected at this time for the radio program to be given in June. More than one hundred were present, including friends from Ros man and Brevard. Dinner Given A dinner was given at the home of Mrs. Charles J. Lee, at Spartan burg, S. C., Sunday in her honor. She received many useful and beautiful presents. A large crowd of relatives and friends were pres ent to enjoy the occasion with Mrs. Lee. Those attending from Lake Toxaway were: Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Thomas and daughters, Dorothy, Martha Ann, Carolyn and Linda and son, Dan, and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Tinsley. Personal Items Mr. and Mrs. Dick Fisher and son, Lee, of Pisgah Forest, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Warren Fisher. Visitors at the H. D. Lee home during the past week were: Mrs. J. C. Wike and Mrs. Thomas Bar clay, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Rogers and three daughters, all of Brevard, and Mrs. Allen Ramsey and Dick Oldham, Jr., of Minneapolis, Minn. Rev. and Mrs. Ed Moody and family have moved to Rosman. Mr. and Mrs. Warren McCoy and children and Mr. and Mrs. Walker Owen and children, of Pisgah For est, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Joe McCoy. Charlie Owen and grandson, James Owen, have returned to Kelso, Wash., after spending sev eral months with Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Lee and other relatives here. Leo Case and Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Case, of Aiken, S. C., are spending several days at their place here.
