112 Seniors Will Receive Diplomas At Brevard High School Next Tuesday (From Front Page, 3rd. Sec.) of the Parliamentary Procedure team. WALTER HOLLINGSWORTH CANTRELL Walter, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cantrell, is our Annapolis bound senior. He has been in the Beta club, on the football team, secretary of the student council, advertising manager of the Brev ardier, Key club, a first honor stu dent, 4-H member, Latin club and senior play cast. JOHN BULON CANUP John, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Canup, always seems to have a smile for everyone. While in school he has been very active in the FFA club. WILMA JEAN CARR Wilma, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Carr, comes to BHS from Candler. While here she has been active in the FHA, 4-H and Future Teachers clubs. MILDRED MARIE CHAPPELL Mildred, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Chappell, is friendly and dependable. She has been ac tive in the Glee and Latin clubs. MARILYN MAE CHRISTENSEN Marilyn, the daughter of Mr. and ^Sxs. Clyde Christensen, is our class “yankee.” She has been ac tive in the Library, Future Teach ers, Glee and Dramatics clubs here at Brevard. HAROLD CRANE Harold, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hayder Crane, is our tall, friendly senior. He has been a most active FFA member for four years. JOE CLYDE COMPTON Joe, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Compton, has proven to be quite the athlete, as he has par ticipated in football, baseball, and track. He has been an active mem ber of the FFA and Monogram clubs. MARGARET COREN Margaret, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Cox, is the boy around school. He has been a member of the base ball and basketball teams, treasur er of the Key club, member of the square dance team and Monogram clubs. CAROLYN LLOYD DANIELS Carolyn, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Daniels, is our pretty redheaded senior. Her activities include Monogram club, Square Dance club, Future Teachers, and co-captain of the basketball team. EDWARD LEE DAVIS Ed is the son of Mr. Lee Roy Da vis. His friendly ways have added much to BHS. He was the Blue Devil this year. BILL DAVIS Bill, the son of Mr. Lee Roy Da vis, has an even disposition and liked by all. His friends find him true and dependable. IMOGENE FORTUNE Imogene is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fortune. Her pleasing ways have won many friends for her in BHS. Her activi tes include: 4-H club, FHA club and Future Teachers club and win ner of radio script contest. MARTHA CAROLINE FORTUNE Martha, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Fortune, is our Broad caster editor. Among her many outstanding activities are: Major ette, Beta club, Booster club, beau ty attendant, president 4-H club, basketball team, Monogram club, FHA club, Dramatics club, Journal ism club, junior play cast, gradua tion marshal, a first honor student, Huddle Queen. RUTH JEANNETTE FOSTER Jeannette, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Foster, has been a member of several clubs in her few years. These include: FHA club and the Brevardier staff. JACK MARION FRADY Jack, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Frady, is always ready for a laugh. He has been active in the FFA, FFA Dairy Judging team, a bus driver, fire fighter, and on the Jr.-Sr. banquet program. BARBARA JOAN GALLOWAY Bobbie, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Galloway, is a cute blonde who has held several posi tions during her school days. She !s treasurer of the Future Teachers, member of FHA, Dramatics and Glee clubs. Gosnell, is active in the 4-H club, FFA club, FFA Seed team, and Jr.-Sr. banquet program. CLARA ROBERTA HARRIS Roberta, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Harris, is better known as “Birdi” to her friends. She has been active in the student council, president of Beta club, Brevardier staff, Glee club, senior play cast and a homeroom officer. ANNIE FAYE HEATH Annie, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Heath, is ambitious and should go places after graduation. Her activities are: Booster, Latin, and Future Teachers clubs and an office assistant. FRANCES HEATH Frances, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Heath, is pleasant to have around. She is a member of the 4-H club, FHA club and Future Teachers club. MOLLY LOUELLA HEATH Molly, the daughter of Mrs. W. M. Heath, has been active in the 4-H, FHA, Library clubs and staff, and was a member of the junior play cast. She plans to work after graduation. HELEN IIEFNER Helen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hefner has been active in the 4-H and FHA clubs. She is a friend to all. JOE HENDERSON Joe is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Henderson. Joe has been very active in the FFA and played football for two years. MARTHA NELL HOGSED Nell, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hogsed, is sweet and pretty. Her Activities are Glee club, i-H club, Booster and Latin clubs. ELIZABETH ANN HOLDEN Elizabeth is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Holden. She has studied hard and been active in the 4-H and Future Teachers clubs. ANNIE JANE HOLLIFIELD Annie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Hollifield. She has been in the Beta, Booster, and Lat in clubs, secretary of the Future Teachers, a member of the Broad caster staff and an office assistant. MARY ALICE HOUSTON Mary Alice, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Houston, has been a member of the FHA club, library issistant, and in the Booster and Square Dance clubs. FRANCES REBEKAH HUDSON “Becky” is the daughter of Mrs. E. E. Fraser, Jr. She has been in the Glee, Monogram, and Dramat ics clubs, co-captain basketball team and a member of the Brev ardier staff. STEVE MORGAN HUNTER Morgan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. ames Lee Hunter, is our strutting drum major. He has been an out standing band member for four years, Brevardier staff, 4-H presi dent, FFA officer, and public speak ing winner. CYNTHIA SHIRLEY JOHNSON Shirley, an outstanding, popular girl, is the daughter of Mrs. F. L. fohnson. She has been active in the Journalism club, Broadcaster staff, Future Teachers, a cheerlead er, Monogram club, senior play cast, office assistant, Glee club, Booster club and was in the Hud dle Queen court. ROBERT PAUL KELLAR Better known to us as Bob, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kellar. He has been in the band for four years, Beta club, student council, Jr.-Sr. play casts, business manager Broadcaster staff, and Journalism club. DONALD HOLMES KILPATRICK Don is the son of Mr. R. E. Kil patrick. He is a jolly lad and his ctivities include: bus driver, fire fighters, and captain of this group. JAMES MORRIS KIMZEY Jim is the son of Principal and Mrs. R. T. Kimzey. He has an out standing school record and is a Moorehead Scholarship winner. His activities include: football team, basketball team, Monogram club, Square Dance team caller, Key club, Beta club, marshal, Brevardier staff, debating team and honor stu dent. PATRICIA ANN KIMZEY “Pat” is the daughter of Mrs. Pat Kimzey and a special three year student. She has been on the de bating team, Beta club, Latin and Glee clubs, and senior play promp ter. MARY JANE KING Mary Jane, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. King, is sweet and is always friendly. Her activities include: FHA club, Latin club, Fu ture Teachers and Glee clubs. DOROTHY McKEE KIZER Dottie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Kizer. She is a special three-year student. Her accom plishments include: co-feature edi tor Broadcaster, Journalism, Dra matics, Latin, Booster and Glee clubs. BETTY ANN LAMBERT Betty is the daughter'of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Lambert. Her many ac tivities include: Beta club, FTA club, Latin club, and Broadcaster staff. BILL HOWARD LANDRETH Bill is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Landreth. He is a serious, hard worker. His activities include: FFA club, student council, Glee club, bus driver, and FFA quartet. MARY ELLEN LOFTIS Mary Ellen is the daughter of Mrs. Harry Loftis. She is ambitious and has made an outstanding rec ord. Her activities include: co-edi tor of Brevardier, a first honor stu dent, homeroom officer, Latin club, Beta club, Dramatics club, Glee club, FTA club, marshal, and Girl’s State. JUDITH GAY LYON Judy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lyon. She has belonged to the Latin, Square Dance, FTA, Dramatics, and Glee clubs. VERA DIXIE MARCUM Dixie, our DAR winner, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marcum. She belongs to the Latin and Library clubs. She will be a success in whatever she under takes. HELEN RHEA MARSHALL Rhea, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Marshall, is our peppy, cute girl who plays a bang-up bas ketball game.
