Merry Christmas Shopping At d (If Necessary) ppy Returns erson s Little River Area Blanketed With 15 To 20 Inches Of Snow By - Mrs. George Hudgins LITTLE RIVER — The big gest news to come from Little River this week is about the snow. We had reports of 15 to 20 inches with drifts up to three feet. I am sure everyone would have to say it was the most beautiful snow that has been seen here in many years. A real “Winter Wonderland” right here in our valley. Most activities were at a stand still due to the snow. Both Sunday services at the church was canceled and most people just stayed home. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Med ford spent the Thanksgiving holidays in Umatilla and other points of interest in Florida. We are very sorry to report that our pastor Rev. Jesse Bailey was carried to Margaret Pardee hospital in Henderson ville Friday night but latest re ports say he is much improved and may be home soon. Mr. and Mrs. John K. Bradley made their way to Rutherford ton Saturday where they cele brated an early Christmas with John’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard G. Bradley and family for his brother Boyd M. Bradley who was leaving for service for his country in New Mexico. Mrs. Alton Braddock left by plane Saturday for Saint Peters burg, Florida, due to the death of a relative. Mrs. Mary Pattilia is still in the hospital at Fort Jackson but is reported much better and hopes to be home soon. Jim Barton was in the hos pital but was able to come home on Saturday. Will Farmer has been report ed sick at home and his son Carl Farmer has been reported .sick at home and his son Carl Farmer from Butler Indiana is here with him. We wish to extend our sympa thy to the family and friends of Mrs. Nellie Norton 75 of Pen rose who died Sunday afternoon in a Hendersonville hospital. She is a relative and used to make her home with Mr. and Mrs. Roseoe Ponder. We are now having some high waters due to the continuous rains for more than 24 hours which has almost melted all of our snow. .Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kilstrom recently spent the weekend with their close friends, Mr. and Mrs. John Edens in Sump ter, South Carolina. The drunk tiptoed up the stain, shoes in hand. He patched up the scan of the brawl with adhesive tape, then climbed into bed, amil* ing at the thoughtthat he’d put one over the wife. DO THIS: Cut a piece of paper towel the diameter of the saucer, put it in the dish and wet it. Put radish seeds on the wet paper, half an inch apart, invert the saucer over the paper and leave it two days in a warm place. The white cottonlike growth seen is made up of many root hairs.
