There the plane crashes and a group of porters rescue them and transport them to the Valley of the Blue Moon in St. Timothy To Give Service Of Tenebrae The ancient Service of Tenebrae will be presented this Thursday, March 27, at St. Timothy Methodist Church at 7:30 p.m. The musical service, to be followed by Holy Communion, is a presentation in choral form of the closing moments in the life of Jesus Christ. Significant passages of Scripture and chorale num bers are woven together in a manner that makes vivid the last scenes in the life and death of Christ, so meaningful to all Christians. “Tenebrae” is the la tin word meaning shadows. During the Scripture and choral numbers, the Sanc tuary is progressively darkened as candles are extinguished. At the end, only one candle remains burning. This light is removed for a brief time, symbolizing Christ’s three days in the tomb. Hie light is then returned and spreads its light through the disciples, symbolized by the choir. The Senior Choir is under the direction of Ruth Hunter, with Ann English as organist. All members and friends of St. Timothy Church, and the public at large, are invited to this special Holy Week Ser vice. wmcn ires i There the lamasery and the people of the Valley flourish.
