Marshall, Esq., one of the prominent young" members of the Wilmington bar, upon a charge of counterfeiting, has created a big sen sation. It is alleged that Mr. Marshall was an associate of Nick Politz, the Greek, now in jail, in the counterfeiting- scheme unearthed last month by United States detectives. Salisbury Sun, 10th: A severe hail storm, accompanied, we are told, by snow, visited Thomasville, Davidson county, Thursday evening. Parties coining in from the North last night said that at places the hail and snow was drifted a foot deep. Mr. J. G. Jones, who came by from Greensboro this morning, tells us that wheat was beaten to the earth and ruined, and that corn was badly damaged for a mile or more on either side of Thomas ville.
