Graduates were led in by the class of 1957 for its 50th reunion and heard speeches from Chancellor James Moeser, class of 2007 President Meg Petersen and Dr. Madeleine Albright. This year's graduation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on May 11 and will feature opera singer Jessye Norman as the commencement speaker. May 22 The Birth of Cool Check out Barkley L. Hendricks: Birth of the Cool, at the Nasher Museum of Ait at Duke University. Richard J. Powell, a Duke University professor of art and art history, will lead a discussion on Hendricks at 6 pm. It is part of a weekly summer series of Sunday outdoor con certs called 'Music to your ears: Summer in Southern Village.’ The rain location for the concerts is Market Street Books.
