It has been suggested that as one feature of the Centennial celebration will be the opening of tbe Raleigh & Gaston Railroad to this city, it would b a good idea to procure patterns of the old locomotives, "Spitfire" aud "Tornado" to be In tha procession, and it was suggested by our friend, Col Heck,' that Mr. Albert Johnson, who cime to this city on the first lo comotive, be requested to stand at the throttle. Another good idea has been suggested that as many of the natives of Raleigh as are now living here who attended the celebration be requested to take places in the procession which will be assigned them. We have in our mind Be veral of the gentlemen who are now honored citizens among them Mr. W. M. Brown, Sr., Mr. John Taylor, tit. David u Koyster and Mr. Ralph N. Andrews.
