Friday, October 22, 1948 Pilot News The Worhan’s Club held its reg ular monthly meeting on Monday evening in the home of Mrs. John Davis. Several of its members were present. Mrs. Shaw talked on “Personal Hygiene.” Everyone enjoyed it. Anna Bearl Pearce of Norfolk, Vr., is spending a few days with her mother, Mrs. Geneva Pearce. Miss Jean Brantley of Durham spent the week-end with Bonita Bunn. Miss Janice Lewis of Maryland is home for a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Lewis. Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Frazier were honored with a miscellaneous shower on Saturday night in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Pippin. Several of her friends were present. Mrs. Avon Brantley is doing fine although she is confined to the bed for a few weeks. We hope she will soon be well and out again. Quite a few of our members at tended the Tar River Association on Wednesday. We had a splendid attendance for church services on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl McDuffie of Raleigh were home on Sunday. Bud Stallings was home on Mon day night. Regular church services will be held and the public is invited to attend the services. —Bonita.
