Th Daffy Ttr Htl Friday, October 1 8, 1874 A Giradl . The Graduate and Professional Student 'Federation approved a departmental fund allocation of $4.77 per graduate student for fiscal year 1975 during its senate meetingTuesday night. Each of the 52 separate graduate departments will be allotted this amount for each fee-paying graduate or professional student enrolled. Thus, approximately $26,000 will be allotted for the 5,597 graduate students enrolled this year. In other business: The GPSF requested the Campus Governing Cbuncil to allow surplus departmental funds to be used to buy books for their technical libraries. A motion to establish a public relations committee was approved unanimously. Michael J. Dykstra, r Correction The D TH would like to correct two errors made in yesterday's story on graduate student enrollment. The statement that various departments such as English and classics have made cutbacks this year was actually made by William J. Brinson, director of the graduate office, and not Dr. Michael Bishop, as the article stated. Also, Dr. George V. Taylor is the -history department chairman. chairman of the GPSF judicial committee, introduced the motion, citing the need to "sell ourselves to the rest of the graduate students as an effective organization. A report on graduate orientation was given by Allen Smith of the Department of Student Life. Smith discussed the possibility of printing a graduate student orientation handbook. GPSF president Harvey Zelon presented the voting procedures to federation members. Two votes are taken in the GPSF on any amendments, rule changes or constitutional changes. A bill must first pass by a majority of okayed. GPSF representatives. A proportional vote is then taken based on the enrollment of each department. Pending certification by the CGC Supervisory Board, the following students will serve on the Graduate Honor Court Panel: Wayne Shew, John Glasson Jr., Tony Galloway, Mary Moore, Jerome A. Olsori, Mark Boardman, Jim Golding, Jennifer Wheat, Robin Dorf, Brent Burkholder, Dianna Wold, Eloise Henderson, Charles Caruso, Michael de Valverde, Thelma Ford, Deborah Bloom, Dorothy Musgrave, Mae McLendon and Robin Geller. vyvww,V alondar To&sf AcLV.Us Gat aaycfca op tor Rr Annua M Stmt Exswza, totfey- afSamocai . nOc and GaTaifcaaJa.
