He's got a real lasting taste for coffee. Once was the best marksman in the county. THE DAILY LIFE OF A CENTENARIAN , A baby wailed its greeting to the world April 15, 1859, on g Buck Creek. Today, just a hop and a jump up the raid, with 100 years in the background, this baby is now Macon County's oldest link with the past. He's "Uncle Billy" McCoy, whose quick mind belies his years. "Uncle Billy" lives with his daughter, Mrs. Burmettie Mc Ghire, in a white frame house on <iold Mine. Here he helps with , the chores, delights in puffing on cigars and quaffing steaming cops of coffee, and calls upon his phenominal memory to re- . capture important moments of history. He was a rock mason and cabin builder. When the gold fever struck the valley he succumbed to its charm, working with sev eral who bought mining property. But the most important part of his life is reading his Bible. "He sits in his chair there," his daughter says, "and reads by the hours." . v Longevity? Runs in the family. His oldest daughter, Mrs. IsatoUe Holland, will be 80 In October. . . . Talking with oldest daughter, Isabelle. I HERE THEY ARE AGAIN! WHERE? Ea?t Franklin School WHEN? Saturday Night, April 25 WHO?
