Reportin' Things from i, Holly Springs ? MRS. DON SEAGLE Staff Correspondent Pastor Pounded Following Wednesday night prayer services at the Holly Springs Baptist Church, on November 23, those at the ser vices presented the Rev. and Mrs. Howard their annual Thanksgiving "pounding." Community Supper Approximately 75 persons were present at the commu nity building Thursday night, November 24, for the commu nity Thanksgiving supper. A special program in hymn sing ing was presented by the Mc Mahan family, of Sylvia. Each fourth Sunday is ob served by the Holly Springs church as a special day for contributions to the new build ins fund. Lefferts Higdon, treasurer, reported that appro ximately $9,700 has been giv en since the ground-breaking three months ago. Brick and block to complete the job has been delivered and 12 memor ial windows arrived Monday. All materials and labor are paid for to date. Weather per mitting, the roof should be on in approximately three weeks. Personals Dr. and Mrs. C. O. Walker, of Asheville, spent the Thanksgiv ing holidays with Mrs. Walk er's mother, Mrs. Ruth Lan drum. The Rev. and Mrs. Bob Tray wick and son, Paul, of Belmont, I and Miss Jackie Ann Cabe, of Brevard College, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cabe. College students home for the holidays were Miss Jean Franklin, Mrs. Fred Deal, and Douglas Young, of Western Carolina; Misses Judy Wurst, and Ann Sutton, of Woman's College, Greensboro; and Miss es Elizabeth Ann Ammons and Mary Frances Ammonre, of Mars Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Bradley, of Whitaker, visited Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Kinsland last Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Keeter and daughter, Tamra Lynn, spent the Thanksgiving holi days with Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Corbin. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ferguson last week were Mrs. Ferguson's sister, Mrs. Hoyt Bryant, and family of Culberson. Mr. and Mrs. E. G.
