Pink McCall, of Mills River, spent the week-end with his son, W. F, McCall. Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Reid and son, Leo, of Oakland, and Mr. and Mrs, Davis Glazener, of Brevard, motor ed to Chase City, Va.; to visit rela tives and friends. Rev. and Mrs. E. R. Pendletor were pleasant callers in our village Sunday afternoon. T. B. Reid called on W. F. Mc Call and his father, Pink McCall, Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Claud Reid were pleasant callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. I. S. Sanders Sunday. Mrs. S. E. Alexander had as Sun day guests her daughter and husband Mr. and Mrs. Bob Nolar.d, of Ashe ville. Gus Gillespie, of Glenville, visited his sister, Mrs. Mary Burgess, Sun day. Little Joe Fisher has been quite ill, but we are glad to report he ia plmost well again. Misses Flora and Bess Reid, of Brevard, spent the week-end with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Reid. Little Kile Galloway just missed being seriously hurt when a cider mill yvas accidentally turned over on him. His face and head were~badly bruised. We are glad to leport Fred Mc Neely_ still improving after a serious illness. Mrs. I. S. Sanders and son. Lane, visited Mrs. C. W. Fisher Sunday afternoon. Waite Reid, of Sagohire, was call ing on friends here ^Sunday night Mrs. Guy Mafheson and daughter, Billie Jo, visited Mrs. C. W. Fisher and children one day last week. The twins, Mary and Martha, remained at home with their grandmother. The baptismal service Sunday was largely attended and was a most impressive service. It was rather unusual, as there was both a Bap tist and a Methodist minister in the water at the same time. Some of those who wished to unite with the Methodist church would not take sprinkling for baptism, and of course we Baptists did not blame them. We love our Methodist friends even though we do not believe in their mode of baptism, and are delighted HOME MISSION STUDY CLASS TO MEET WITH MR!). EVERETT Home Mission study class of the ?
