Deadline for Warren Clinic pledgee 15th Sponsors of the R. F. Warren Memorial Clinic at Prospect HiU have approved a pledge campaign, with deadline of June 15, in an effort to secure sufficient funds to begin con struction of the building. •In accordance with the by laws of the R. F. Warren Me morial Clinic Corporation which call for the annual election of officers the following were e lected: Lacy Satterfield Jr., President, Jimmy Winslow, Vice President, Geneva Warren, Sec retary - Treasurer. Bids in from the various con tractors were discussed at length. It was found that Rob ert Oakes, Chapel Hill contract or with a bid of $28,614.34 was low. Further study of the bid by the building committee and conference, with the contractor is planned. Plan3 and specifications for the building, the result of a considerable amount of work on the part of the building com mittee, were displayed at the meeting. Th treasurer reported, money on hand slightly in excess of $10,000 and noted that since the time the money was received by the corporation, it has earn. ,ed approximately $1,000 in in terest. A pledge plan presented by the president was made into mo tion by Jimmy Winslow and sec onded by Gilbert Pittard to form a committee to seek pledg es of $100 per family to be paid over a four year period after actual construe.:km has begun. Since general sentiment, accord ing to those present, is that ef forts to raise further cash would be futile until contraction actu ally gets under way, the pledg es in a sufficient amount to justify borrowing the remainder of money needed to complete building was judged to be the best procedure. The motion re ceived unamioua approval, and June 15 was named as deadline for getting pledges in. If the tfTedge campaign v successful the building committee is ready to proceed with borrowing need ed money and starting construc tion. Builder ng for C/thrance of the 'building site will be started immediate!,. WbSlV ^ENOEolcoreHVf *®>ioemti&f ><• DEWARS Label SCOTCH WHISKY BLENDED AT «.8 PROOF SCHENLEY IMPORT CO.. NEW YORK.
