Lawrence McNeill spent the weekend in Wilmtaftoa where they attended the wedding of his cottdn, Miss Evelyn Frances Ward to Hoke Dickinson Pollock on Saturday at St. James Episcopal Church. Ronald Sessoms Is Married To Betty Elaine Guthrie MRS. RONALD EDWARD SESSOMS The mintage of Mia Betty fIMHGuthrie, daughter of Mr. ?and Mrs. Joseph S. Guthrie of Route 4, Danville, Va. and Ronald Edward Sessoms, eon of Mr. and Mr*. MJC. Sessoms of Raeford, took place Saturday, June 26, at 4 p.m. in the First Evangelical Methodist Church. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Frank E. Waihburne, pastor of the bride, and the Rev. Bill Sessoms of Woodbridge, Va., brother of the bridegroom. The traditional wedding music was presented by Mrs. Janice Spain hour, organist and Mrs. Janice Wirnlow, vocalist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of silk organza over peau de soie, designed by her aunt Mrs. J.W. Edwards Sr. It featured French imported rose point lace. The bodice featured a sabrina neckline, yoke of appliqued roses embroidered in seed pearls, bishop sleeves with wide cuffs of lace and was finished at the high waistline with scallops. The skirt front was finished with lace scallops and appliques of lace with a Dior bow in back with a chapel train attached at the waistline. Her elbow length veil of illusion was held by a cluter of rose petals of organza embroidered in seed pearls. She carried a white prayer book centered with a white hybrid orchid, showered with stephanotis and white satin streamers. Miss Linda Guthrie, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mrs. Joseph S. Guthrie, rister - in - law of the bride, was matron of honor. They wore identical dresses of maize peau de soie chiffon fashioned with long bishop sleeves and bodices of chiffon over peau de soie with detachable trains in back. They carried arm bouquets of yellow stardust roses and leatherleaf fern tied with matching yellow satin ribbon. Miss Janet Turner, of Danville, Miss Linda Kiger of Raeford, Miss Joan Kirby of Chestertown, Md? and Mrs. Joseph Perry were bridesmaids. They wore identical dressed to that of the *ionor attendant. Each carried one longstemmed yellow rose tied with matching yellow ribbon. Junior bridesmaids were Misses Jennifer and Karen Hooker of Danville, wearing similar dresses to those of the bridesmaids. Sheila Wilson was flower girl. Mr. Sessoms was best man for his son. Ushers were Bill New nam, Gene Earl both of Greensboro, N.C., M.K. Sessoms Jr., brother of the bridegroom and Joseph S. Guthrie Jr. of Trinity, N.C., brother of the bride. Junior ushers were David Masincup of Asheboro, N.C. and Timothy Sessoms, brother of the bridegroom. Following the ceremonv a reception was held in Sledd Memorial fellowship hall. For travel the bride wore an Empire dress of orange, created by her mother, with white accessories and the orchid lifted from her bouquet. After a southern wedding trip, the couple will make their home at 608 South Holden Rd., Greensboro, N.C. where Mr. Sessoms will continue his studies as a ministerial student at John Wesley College. YDE DOUGLAS SNYDER Snyder-Nichols Vows Spoken In Lexington Miss Cynthia Gail Nichols became the bride of Clyde Douglas Snyder in a four o'clock ceremony Saturday, June 26, at St. Timothy's United Methodist Church in Lexington. The Rev. Donald Davis of Lexington officiated. Wedding music was presented by Miss Josephine Craver of Lexington, organist. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Edward Nichols of 206 W. Donaldson Ave., Raeford, formerly of Roanoke, Va. and Lexington. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Lois Snyder of Lexington and Clyde Snyder of St. Petersburg, Fla. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white organza over peau de soie fashioned with round neckline, sheer puff sleeves, empire waistline and A - line skirt embroidered with small appliques of vei >e lace. Her organza chapel length train, attached at the back waistline, also featured lace appliques. Her imported mantilla was trimmed with matching lace appliques, and she carried a lace ? covered white Bible graced with white carnations and showered with stephanotis. Later in the evening, the couple left on a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach. Out of town guests included the following: Mr. and Mrs. L.I. Nichols of Roanoke, Va., grandfather of the bride; Mr." and Mrs. Winston Skinnel and Jean of Bedford, Va.; Mr. and Mrs. John Turner and Dana Marie of Roanoke, Va., Donald Williams, Tim and Sherry,; Mrs. Carolyn Horn and Kjiti, and Mr. and Mrs. M.C.
