Mrs. Carlton Niven, Social Reporter. 875-3785 Winston - McLauchlin Couole Married Miss Sylvania McLauchlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernis McLauchlin of Raeford became the bride of Luther Winston, Jr., son of Mrs. Beulah Mae Cadlett of Raeford in a Five o'clock ceremony, Sunday, July 25 at Silver Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Raeford with Rev. W.K. Mitchell officiating. Wedding music was presented by Gloria McLauchlin, soloist and Dr. Willie McNeill, Jr., organist. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Priscilla style gown of ivory satin organza overlaid with English net and lace with seed pearls. She wore a nylon net floor length veil edged with lace and carried a bouquet of blue carnations, babies' ^breath and greenery. Miss Deborah McLauchlin of Raeford, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. She wore a pink gown with pink floral bodice ?and carried a long stem blue mum with pink streamers. The brides maids, Miss Margaret McLauch lin, Miss Jewel McLauchlin, Miss Shelia McLauchlin, Miss Joan McLauchlin, Miss Mageline Win ston, Miss Paulie Faye Sturdivant, Miss Virginia Thomas and Miss Stella Worley, all of Raeford, wore gowns similar to that of the honor attendant and carried pink mums with blue streamers. Flower girl was Miss Queena Singletary of Raeford. Ring Bearer was Tracy McLauchlin and Train Bearers were Kenneth McLauchlin and Roconoie McLauchlin all of Rae ford. Jerry Tillman served as best man. Ushers were Andrew Mc Lauchlin, Donnie Holmes. Naeo tega Singletary, James McPhaul, Tony McLeod, Kinley McLean, and Gary McMillian, all of Rae ford, and Tony Mitchell of Red Springs. The bride's mother entertained at a reception following the cere monies in the church fellowship hall. The couple will reside in Raeford where they are both employed with Burlington Industries. Miss Jane Long, one of the 15 debutant honorees, is a Meredith College Classmate of Miss Austin. The "Gone With The Wind" theme party was given at the plantation home "Longview" of Miss Long's mother, Mrs. William G. Long. Hostesses for the occasion were Mrs. Ralph Boyles. Mrs. Reedie Dabbs, Mrs. Kedith Finch. Mrs. W.M. Forbes, Mrs. Cecil Kellam, Mrs. R.P. Wheeless and Miss Tracey Forbes. Randy Huggins returned last Thursday after vacationing in Hawaii. October Bride-Elect Mr. and Mrs. Larry L. Simmons of Aberdeen announce the engage ment of their daughter. Barbara Hunter, to James David Crissman. son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Glenn Crissman of Ashley Heights. The Bride-elect is a graduate of Pinecrest High School, holds an Associate-in -Arts Degree from Sandhills Community College, and attended North Carolina State University in Raleigh. She is employed with the Carolina Bank in Aberdeen. Mr. Crissman is a graduate of Hoke County High School, attended Sandhills Com munity College, and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Carolina University in Greenville. He is employed with Computer Manage ment Corporation in Raleigh. An October wedding is planned at Page Memorial United Methodist Church in Aberdeen.
