Halloween is on it’s way, and so is the Hoke County Public Library’s annual Halloween party. Lots of spooky fun is in the works for chil dren ages 3-11 to enjoy, including a costume contest, games, and sur prises. The “Halloween Happening” will be held on Saturday, October 30 at 6:30. Attendance at this event has in creased over the years to the point that the library .says it must limit admittance. “We regret that every one who wants to attend will not be able to, but our space and staff are limited, and the party will be better and safer without the overcrowded conditions,” .said director Connie Marlowe. This year, the first 50 children who submit an illustrated book re port will receive a ticket to the party. Children too young to write may do the drawing only. Reports and draw ings may be submitted on forms avail able at the library, and be signed by a parent or guardian.
