The total thefts as of mid-March was 29. The vehicles are being stripped of valu ables and left abandoned. Lenoir County Crime Stoppers, Inc. will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the thief or thieves, ne having information in this crime or any crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 523-4444 week days from 7:30 a.m. to5 p.m. Callers need not give their names as all callers remain anonymous. Hit And Run In Pink Hill a A 1977 Cadillac owned by Kenneth Hamilton of 100 W. Macon St., Pink Hill, was damaged in excess of $400 when parked in the Teachey's Gro cery parking lot on Saturday, March 16, around noon. Ii is believed that the hit and run vehicle was a brown Chevette driven by a young lady with an elderly man and woman accompanying her as passengers. If (here is anyone who has anv information concernine the accident, they are requested to contact Ken neth Hamilton or Police Chief Lester Turner. Pink Hill Community Sunrise Service An Easter Sunrise service for the Pink Hill community will be held at Oak Ridge Memorial Park, Hwy. #11 South, on Sunday morning, April 7 beginning at 5:45. The sermon will be delivered by the Rev. Clarence L. Warren, pastor of the Pink Hill United Meihoidsi Church. Special music will be furnished by the Christian Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. In case of rain, the service will be held at the Pink Hill United Methodist Church. The public is inviied to come. ACC All Stars In Lenoir The ACC All-Stars are coming to South Lenoir. On Monday, April 1 at 8 D.m.. the ACC All-Stars will play the South Lenoir all-Stars at South Lenoir High School to raise money for muscular dystrophy. Admission will be $5. Come and cheer your favorite players on to a victory for muscular dystrophy. Featured will be Buzz Peterson. UNC, Delaney Rudd, Lee Garber and Chuck Keeply, Wake-Forest Univ., and Terry Gannon, Lorenzo Charles, Cozell McQueen, Spud Webb and Mike Warren, of N.C. State Uni versity, and many other ACC stars from Wake/Duke. LIBERTY FESTIVAL PAGEANT It's spring again and it's time to prepare for the Miss Liberty Festival pageant. Craftsmen Needed For Liberty Festival Persons desiring to sell their crafts at the 1985 Pink Hill Liberty Festival scheduled for Saturday, June 29, should contact Lynda Stroud at 568-3562 as soon as possible to secure a space. The space is limited, so it is important to secure a space early. BENEFIT The Southern Lenoir Lions Club will sponsor a hot dog wagon on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at Eachey's Grocery in Deep Run. All proceeds will go to benefit the Buster Murphy family. Janet Metis Youth Of The Month Janet Lee Metis, 17, has been named the Exchange Club's Youth of the Month for March. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lee Melts of Pink Hill and a student at Smith Lenoir High School. She is involved in several clubs and has had the highest grade average in her junior year. Bake Sale The First Baptist Church of Pink Hill will be having a bake sale on Saturday, April 6 from 8:30 - 12:30 in front of Watson Mutual Drug. Mission Study At Warsaw Church There will be a Mission Study about "Visions of Peace" to be held at the Warsaw United Methodist Church Sunday, April 14 at 4:30 to 8:30 with a covered dish supper at 6:00. There will be classes for everyone from the adults to kindergarten age. There also will be nursery attendants. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the Mission Study.
