Tlie recipients ' of our, Make It Happen Trophy and bonus award for the past two weeks ' were, Mrs. Dorothy Spruill and Mrs. Peggy Bateman. This award is presented each week. Those who have celebrated,' birthdays recently at Don Juan were , , Mrs. Margaret Brown, Mrs, Ertie Lane; Mrs. Beatrice Evans, Mrs, Barbara White, Mr. George Benton, Mrs. Edna B. Stallings, Mrs. Shristine Lewis, Mrs. Matoaka Williams, Mrs. Lois Ann Eggleston and Mrs. Evelyn Swanner. Mrs. Genevia Trueblood and husband are proud grandparents of twin girls. The proud parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Bunch of Roper, N.C. Mrs. Beatrice Evans of Woodland Circle, was honored at a surprise birth day supper recently at her home. It was given by her children. Mrs. Rella Elliott's mother is a patient in Chowan Hospital. Mrs. Edna Marrow and husband spent last weekend with their daughter and family in Durham, N.C. Those who visited Mr. and Mrs. Joe White and Mr. and Mrs. Roy White last Sunday weis, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bailey and daughters of Norfolk, Va. Mrs. Billy Chesson and sons of Roper, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph White Jr. and children of Hobbs ville. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Nixon and daughters of Edenton, and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lane and son. Mrs. Rosa Mae Skinner underwent surgery last Thursday night at Albemarle Hospital. Those who were guest of Mrs. Ruth Smithwick Sunday were, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence S. Chappell and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Petterson, Miss Melody Lane of Hertford and Mrs. Lillian Copeland of Tyner. FROM PLYMOUTH Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lee Dail and family of Plymouth were guests of C.L. Dail and Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Hurdle on Sunday. RETURNS FROM HOSPITAL Mrs. G.A. Application blanks may be secured by calling or writing to Mrs. Paige Underwood, County Home Economics Agent, Phone No. 426-7697, Address Post Office Box 87, Hertford, North Carolina 27944. The application form has complete details for those interested in submitting a craft for approval. The Albemarle Craft sman's Guild was founded in 1966 by a small group of craftsmen and other per sons interested in the crafts. It is dedicated to the im provement of the quality of crafts produced and sold, to encourage original design, to promote the continuation and authentic reproduction of the earlier crafts, to study the aspects of marketing crafts produced by the members and to stimulate public interest in high qual ity crafts. All active members will be invited to participate in the Albemarle Craftsman's Fair to be held September 25-29, 1974 in the National Guard Armory, Elizabeth City, N.C. The Guild is one of the sponsors of this an nual event. Dues for active craftsmen are $2 per year. However if you are interested in the crafts but do not actively make a craft, you are in vited to pay annual dues of $3 a year for Associate Membership. Dues should be paid to Miss Audrey Tuttle, Treasurer, Rt. 2, Elizabeth City, N.C. 27909. Contact Mrs. Underwood if you have questions.
