Much Belyidere Homemakers Hold Regular Meeting ; Mrs. Elton Layden was hostess to the Belvidere Homemakers Club Tuesday evening in her home with members and a guest, Mrs. Clyde Gordon of Winston- Salem, North .Carolina, present and answered the roll call by "Plans for ' Spring." : ' The song of the month "God of Our Fathers" was sung followed by Mrs. Layden giving the devotions using as her topic, "Are You With Me." 1 ' The program for the month was given in two parts with Mrs. Thurman Riddick giving some sewing hints. -Mrs. Riddick also showed a scarf with the lettuce edging which she had made from attending ah extension Workshop recently, Mrs. ; - Paige Uriderwood, County Extension Agent, displayed and demonstrated making a . Betsy Ross doll from a 32 oz. drink bottle and other materials. Directions and patterns were to be sent to .the, members. ; ' Mrs. C.T. Rogerson, Jr., president, presided during the business meeting. ( The club voted to par ticipate in ways to observe National 'Extension Homemakers Week May 2 ,thru May 8. Mrs. Claude Winslow will represent the Belvidere Club Friday, May 7 on the Court House Lawn by a pillow demonstration.
