LeeAnn Lineberger Presides Lee Ann Lineberger of Kings Mountain presided at the District VI Leadership meeting of the Future Homemakers of American October 20 at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte. Lee Ann is the North Carolina FHA/MHERO vice-president. Greetings were given by Dr. Jay Robinson, superintendent of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. The speaker was Mrs. Vivian Harris of WBTV. Her topic was “Outspoken Outreach” which emphasized the, «state, “Operation Outreach-Move to "Improve.” theme; Approximately 1,600 FHAHERO members from a 10-county region attended. Bar- bara Cannon, District VI Ad- visor, who planned the meeting, said she was well pleased with the larger than anticipated atten- dance. Sharing hostess duties with Ms. Wilson were Karen Moss and Coleen Wilson. Upon ar- rival, Lou was presented a cor- sage of pink carnations. The Halloween theme was carried throughout the house. Volunteers Are Needed For Information Hotline The Family Planning Ad- visory Council of Cleveland County is sponsoring an infor- mation hotline. Volunteers are needed to answer the phone which will be located at the Cleveland County Health Department. The hotline will be open from 3-5 p.m. Monday through Fri- day. Volunteers will be asked to work only a few hours per month.
