Express Kings Mountain’s Kevin Mack last week signed a profes- sional football contract with the Los Angeles Express of the United States Football League. Mack is currently working out with the Express and hopes to see playing duty within the next week. The terms of Mack’s contract were not disclosed. James Robin- son, a teammate of Mack’s at Clemson University, also signed with the Express and the two are He had three 100-plus yard games, including a career high of 187 yards in a 52-14 victory over Maryland which clinched the ACC title. : Mack was the starting fullback in the 1982 Orange Bowl game when Clemson defeated Nebraska 22-15 for the national championship. At Kings Mountain High, where he played under Coach Dan Brooks, Mack broke the single season and single game rushing records his senior year.
