Strickland Keigns As Miss Bailey From the seven contest ants competing in the Miss Bailey Christmas parade contest, representing the homerooms in high school, Lynda Anne Strickland re ceived the honor. All high school students cast their vote on the basis of beauty, poise, and personality. The other six contestants were Peggy Eatmon, fresh men; Christie Finch and Tillie Taylor, sophomores; Jewel Vihitley and Audrey Finch, juniors; and Bar bara Boykin, senior. Jr. 8th Gr. Presents Force; Frosh Stage Ploy Mrs. Harvey Evans eighth grade entertained the school with a farce play entitled "Henry, The Model Husband," For the devotions, Kay Thompson read Bible verses and Betty Beard sang "He". Harold Patterson took the leading role in the play as Henry Peek. Frances Peck was played by Linda Lamm, and Barbara Sue Lamm portrayed her mother. Bailey band provided the music for students to en- ter and exit chapel. Dicken's CHRISIMAS CAROL was presented by Miss Edith Farmer's freshman as the December chapel pro gram. Don English, playing the leading role of Scrooge, was accompanied by 13 other freshmen participat ing in the play. In addi tion, eight girls made up the chorus, and nine stu dents took part in the Nativity scene. Mark Thompson, a first grader, played Tiny Tim. oppy Motoring Starts At The Corbett Oil Co.
