Fourth Breaking the Cycle class graduates SPECIAL TO THE CHRONICLE Crisis Control Ministry's Breaking the Cycle program recently held its fourth graduation ceremony. Ten graduates earned certificates of completion from the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University andthe MoneySKILL program. As part of the program, the graduates were required to open an emergency savings account at Truliant Credit Union and make regular deposits. For the first time, every participant in the class saved the maximum of $500, which was matched dollar-for-dollar by Crisis Control. Studies show that when people have at least $ 1,000 in a savings account, they are less likely to need assistance when an emergency arises. The graduates are Patricia Harrison, Mary Ann Kipuros-Jones, Shane Merriman, Beverly Miller, Jennifer Mills-Owen. Dereika Stone, Sharon Taylor-Foster. Samantha Ward, Michelle Wilkins and George Aldhi/.er. a Wake Forest University intern for the Breaking the Cycle program. Celebrating 41 years of service as Forsyth County's largest emergency assistance provider with offices in Winston-Salem and Kernersville, Crisis Control Ministry is a four-star rated charity whose mission is to assist peo ple in crisis to meet essential life needs and to become self-sufficient.
