Book Winners Named Ali Babba, Peier Pan, The Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, Raggedy Ann, The tmperor I'rom The Emperor’s New Clothes, and Toby Irom “Tough Winter”, were the top winners in North School’s Book Character Day parade last Thursday. Students modeled their favorite story character in uni que costumes to take home the prizes in the project which was promoted to encourage reading and a Library project, .lane Talbert, librarian, headed up the project. The student winners were William Burns from Kindergarten, Shan Lord from f irst Grade, Brian Barrett from Second Grade, Angela Neal from Third Grade, Wade Hew itt from Fourth Grade, and Diane Clippard from F ifth Grade. Teachers got in the show too and winners were Donna Mintz, first. Big Bird; Ann Seism, se cond, Abraham l.incoln, and Laurie McDaniel, Mary, Mary Quite Contrary. Other winners were: Rhonda 1-alls, Peter Cottontail, and Caja Ormand, Huck Finn, both of the Kindergarten classes; Sarah Dill- mg.
